April 15, 2015 was the day when a new production line of Suzhou Samsung Semiconductor, I LINE was completed. Suzhou Samsung Semiconductor was a manufacture legal person that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd built as a sole proprietorship in Sino-Singaporean Industrial Park in December 1994. It was located by the beautiful Golden Pheasant Lake, Suzhou, China. On July 7, 2006, the second semiconductor factory in Suzhou Industrial Park was formally started. The construction of the new factory was considered as an important step taken by Samsung Electronics to occupy a leading position in the semiconductor industry. On May 7, 2007, the second semiconductor factory of Samsung Semiconductor was officially completed and put into operation. After years of development, the company has been growing with the park and developed into a significant overseas manufacturer of Samsung Electronics and established a leading position in the semiconductor industry in the park for Samsung semiconductor. Samsung Semiconductors, including President Kim Ki-nam, Vice President of TP Center, Jung Tae-kyung, Head of Samsung China in Eastern China, Director Li Zhenkun, as well as Deputy Secretary of Jiangsu Province and Secretary of Suzhou Municipal Party, Shi Taifeng, Secretary of the Working Committee of Suzhou Industrial Park, Wang Xiang, etc. attended the ceremony.
